Why should we develop a personal or professional perspective? I have been thinking a lot about this since interviewing Brian Abrams on May 7 about Development of a Humanistic Perspective on Music Therapy. I also studied different perspectives and developed my own during my graduate work at Texas Woman's University. Lately, I've been reviewing my perspective, both for my work and my personal goals.
In this show, find out how to develop a personal and professional perspective. Listen here.
Music Therapy is the enhancement of human capabilities through the planned use of musical influences on human brain functioning. The Music Therapy Show with Janice Lindstrom is a discussion about what music therapy is and how to use it in your life. It is designed for Music Therapists looking for new ideas and people looking to use music to enhance their capabilities through the planned use of music on human brain functioning.

About not having to explain yourself...
AMEN SISTER!!!
Once I adopted that outlook, my life got a lot easier. If you don't want to do something, don't do it! It's a perk that comes with the job of "MT Private Practice Owner".
Janice,
Thanks for your show over the past weeks. The conversation with Brian Abrams was great to hear. I am glad someone in our profession is articulating that perspective.
I also thank you for your show on developing a personal and professional perspective. Your honesty and openness to learning and pondering your work is wonderful.
